WCED Admissions for 2023

This page contains information about the schools registrations for 2023 in the Western Cape areas. Every year, the Western Cape Education Department simplifies, as well as administers the students’ enrollment and application processes via its online portal. This process makes it easy to manage and track all applications in one central point, as opposed to applying at individual schools. Ever since the online WCED Admissions started, students and parents find it easy to easily register at the schools that they like. The WCED Admission system allow learners to apply to more than one school at a time.

What documents are required for WCED Admission?

Whe applying at the Western Cape schools via the WCED Admission portal, you should ensure you have the following documents ready:

• The last official school Report Card | Results of the learner, for learners who have been to school.
• ID | Birth certificate | passport of the learner; OR
  • A study permit (foreign learners); OR
  • Proof of application (study permit) or a police affidavit
• Immunisation card (Road to Health Chart) [Primary Schools Only]
• Proof of residence

Application Dates and Deadlines

All parents should note that WCED school admissions will open on  Monday, 14 March, and closes on Friday, 15 April 2022.
